What Dr. Rudert's Patients are saying:

  • "Loved her!...Dr. Rudert did a very thorough interview and exam...She is a wonderfully delightful and caring physician!"

"Loved her! Dr. Rudert did a very thorough interview and exam of my daughter and listened to our concerns. She is an expert in gluten intolerences and celiac but was not knee-jerk about this diagnosis.I felt she was very thoughtful and deliberate, ordering several tests to assist in diagnosis. I am told that the office will call me with the results and not require  I wait for the next office visit to get them, which I appreciate...Fortunately the labwork was covered by my insurance. She is a wonderfully delightful and caring physician!"  Posted to Kudzu.com on 8/2011 by "Jammer"

  • "Upon my first visit with Dr. Rudert, she recognized my symptoms...a caring, wonderful doctor"

"I originally sought Dr. Rudert after finding her on the internet to treat my Celiac Disease. I also was having other health problems that had taken me to doctor after doctor for over two years. Upon my first visit with Dr. Rudert, she recognized my symptoms, and recommended the kind of physician I should see. I was later diagnosed with Nontuberculous Mycobacterial Lung Disease. I have benefited significantly from Dr. Rudert’s medical care of my Celiac Disease, and the additional expertise of a caring, wonderful doctor.Thank you Dr. Rudert for your generous time and kind attention. My appreciation to you and your friendly, professional staff."  2/2014, by J.B

  • "That first visit to Dr. Rudert changed my life. She provided many resources and tools for me to manage my disease. She spent a lot of time answering all my many questions and told me what the healing process would entail, while recommending probiotics, iron supplements etc.. I now make it a point to visit Dr. Rudert at least twice a year! I feel so fortunate to have Dr Rudert and her wonderful staff in my life and as part of my healing process!"

"On the Friday before New Year’s Eve 2012, I received a phone call at home from my family doctor. My latest routine blood work showed my sodium, iron and hemoglobin levels were dangerously low. She requested I go immediately to the emergency room for a possible blood transfusion. We finally agreed I would come in after the holiday and start what would become a series of many tests to try to determine what was causing my severe anemia.THE TESTS: GI doctor (upper and lower) diagnosis: microscopic colitis, Cardiologist (EKG/ECG, CT scan, stress echocardiogram, heart monitor for 24 hours) diagnosis: 2 heart murmurs, Hematologist (more blood work to check for cancer), Neurologist (brain MRI for extreme nerve pain on right side of face, Dentist (much nerve damage to right jaw, 4 root canals), back to Cancer Center for what would be a series of ten weekly 2-3 hour iron infusions and back to GI doctor for pill encapsulate/ small intestine. Diagnosis: Celiac Sprue, Treatment: a one page flyer on what my diet should consist of. FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE!I had so many questions and no idea how to manage this autoimmune disease. Because I am a Food Service Manager working with special need children and all their special diets including gluten free, I had a little more knowledge than most Celiacs. Dr. Rudert was recommended by a friend of the family who had similar problems to mine and she had wonderful results from her visit to Dr. R. Off to Atlanta I went with a notebook full of questions, not knowing what to expect. It turns out I have a severe allergy and am very sensitive to cross contamination, making it hard to even work in a kitchen! That first visit to Dr. Rudert changed my life. She provided many resources and tools for me to manage my disease. She spent a lot of time answering all my many questions and told me what the healing process would entail, while recommending probiotics, iron supplements etc.. I now make it a point to visit Dr. Rudert at least twice a year! I feel so fortunate to have Dr Rudert and her wonderful staff in my life and as part of my healing process! What a journey it has been!" by S.M., Florida, 3/2014

  • "She was warm. She was caring. She was interested in everything that I was alert enough to tell her and she asked the questions that she needed to ask to make the best assessment of my particular case. I could tell that, to her, I was a person of value. She did not hurry her examination...She helped me heal physically and mentally"

Before I met Dr. Cynthia Rudert in January 2011, my life had become a nightmare. I was so very ill. I had been diagnosed with Celiac Disease in September 2010. I was told by the diagnosing physician that there was no cure and no medicine for my condition and the only way to get better was to completely eliminate glutens from my diet. I was doing that to the very best of my ability to no avail. I just didn't seem to be getting any better. I continued to be sick with diarrhea to the point that a short trip to the grocery store was traumatic for fear that I would embarrass myself or my husband as I had no control of my bowels. My skin itched so badly that I would apply ice to it to temporarily relieve the discomfort. I was so weak that after I took a shower, I had to lay down and rest for 15 or 20 minutes before I could apply lotion to my body. The only thing that kept me going was my faith in Jesus Christ. Finding Dr. Rudert was the answer to that simple prayer. I read about Dr. Rudert on line. The information that I read said that she was the physician for 31 members of the Atlanta Celiac Support Group..... I had lost so much weight that I had gone from a voluptuous size 14 to a size 4 in six months. When I walked into Dr. Rudert's office, I was greeted by Glenda who must have seen my pain and fear because she said to me, "Dr. Rudert will help you; she has helped many women. She was warm. She was caring. She was interested in everything that I was alert enough to tell her and she asked the questions that she needed to ask to make the best assessment of my particular case. I could tell that, to her, I was a person of value. She did not hurry her examination nor did she seem dismayed by the magnitude of my symptoms. She was able in that initial visit to pin point one food that I erroneously thought was gluten free that was causing my symptoms to continue. Dr. Rudert instructed me to begin keeping a food diary. She gave me shakes and medical foods that helped to start my healing process. Initially, she scheduled me for an office visit once a week, then once every two weeks. As I progressed under her expert care, my office visits were scheduled once a month. Now, I see her about every six months. My symptoms are completely gone. I do not have the gas or diarrhea that crippled my very existence. I am able once again to lead a normal, productive live. I enjoy many things that I enjoyed before my illness, perhaps, I even enjoy them more because I experienced the dark side of a digestive system that was out of order. Dr. Cynthia Rudert made and continues to make a very positive difference in my life. She helped me heal physically and mentally and she increased my spiritual well-being. Dr. Rudert is frequently in my prayers and conversation. I thank God for Dr. Rudert every day.Gratefully, by M. N., 2/2014
